Unifrog is an online platform designed to help students explore career pathways, apprenticeships, university options, and work experience opportunities. It brings together tools for career exploration, skills assessment, personal statement writing, and tracking extracurricular achievements—all in a secure, GDPR-compliant environment.

GDPR Guidance

Unifrog is fully GDPR-compliant. All users must follow these rules to protect personal data:

Do NOT enter:

  • Personal addresses, phone numbers, or personal email addresses, unless explicit permission is given.
  • Sensitive personal information unrelated to school or career guidance.

Allowed with consent:

  • Names and contact information for work experience placements.
  • Any other information explicitly permitted by parents, guardians, or students.

Work Experience Placements on Unifrog

Unifrog’s work placement tool is designed to simplify the process of finding and managing work experience:

  • Students can search for available placements and apply online.
  • Careers team reviews applications, confirms placements, and manages approvals.
  • Form tutors can monitor student engagement and provide support throughout the placement process.
  • Consent management: Names and contact details for placements can be entered in compliance with GDPR.

This tool allows Madeley School to ensure students have meaningful and safe work experience opportunities while maintaining accurate records.

Modern Work Experience and the Equalex Framework

Years 7–9

  • Students will engage in introductory careers experiences, including industry visits, job shadowing, and project-based work within school.
  • Unifrog is used to log experiences, reflect on learning, and build a record of skills for each student.
  • The platform supports Equalex principles, ensuring all students have equal access to opportunities, with fair tracking of participation and engagement.

Years 10–11

  • Students participate in formal work experience placements, using Unifrog to apply, track, and reflect on their placements.
  • The platform allows the careers team to monitor engagement, record outcomes, and ensure compliance with safeguarding and GDPR standards.
  • Reflections recorded on Unifrog help students identify transferable skills and prepare for post-16 choices.

Equalex Framework

  • Unifrog supports the Equalex framework, which ensures that all students, regardless of background or ability, receive equal access to career opportunities.
  • Participation, progress, and achievement are tracked consistently, helping the school identify and address any gaps in provision.
