2025 Options
As you move into the next stage of your education, it’s time to make important decisions about your GCSE subjects. This is an exciting opportunity to shape your future by selecting subjects that align with your strengths, interests, and future aspirations.
To help you make informed choices, you can read all the necessary information in the attached Options Booklet. This provides a detailed overview of each subject, including what you’ll study and how it will be assessed. You can also review an electronic version of the options form to see the choices available.
Important Dates:
Options & Parents’ Evening – Thursday 17th February
A key opportunity to discuss your choices with teachers and ask any final questions. Make sure to attend with your parents or carers!
Options Form Deadline – Monday 3rd March
All completed forms must be handed in to your form tutor by this date. Don’t leave it until the last minute—take the time to think carefully about your decisions.
Choosing the Right Subjects
When selecting your options, consider:
- The subjects you enjoy and excel in.
- Your potential future career interests and pathways.
- The balance between practical and academic subjects that suit you.
Don't choose a subject just because your friend is taking it or because you like the teacher! Teachers may change, and your friends won’t always be in your class. Pick subjects that will benefit YOU and your future.
